However you knew him, Tim/Dad/Popski was the kindest, most thoughtful, considerate, gentle and loving man you could ever wish to meet. He was a wonderful brother, husband, Dad, Grandad (Popski) and friend, and I'm sure we all have many special memories to share.

Although Tim loved flowers, he would much rather have money donated to a worthy cause than bouquets of flowers brought to the crematorium.

Therefore the family have chosen 2 charities which we know were close to his heart, The Woodland Trust and Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.

Tim had a passion for conservation and wildlife, and spent many weekends planting trees and donating his time supporting a conservation group which he helped set up, when living in Reading. For this reason, we thought The Woodland Trust seemed an obvious first choice.

The second charity, The Weldmar Hospicecare Trust, came into play much later in life. We wanted to choose a lesser known charity, but one that had helped both Tim and close family, during the later stages of his illness. The Weldmar is an independent charity with only just over 20% of funding coming from the NHS. Their staff and support were brilliant, both in the hospice and with home visits and this is our small way of saying thank you to them.
